The decision gallery — what you are deciding
One decision, five previews. The question is the FAMILY layer over the ratified content types (64 after the 16 August rulings — Performance Ad re-homed, Public-Service Ad retired, Recruitment Ad dropped at the second round) — what the shelves are, and whether the family is a stored fact or a way of browsing. Each preview shows the SAME three things under a different carve: the eventual vocabulary page, your three use cases walked through, and what is literally written on each piece. Nothing in the gallery is final; when you rule, the winning shape is written into the registry, the live generated page takes over, and these previews retire. Marks belong on the reconciliation page, proposals 1–9.
| Preview | In one sentence | The catch, honestly |
|---|---|---|
| Option A — your five worlds, stored | every piece carries one of the five worlds | 29 of 64 placements depend on the container, not the piece |
| Option B — deliverable families, stored | every piece carries Film & video / Static design / Editorial… | 27 of 64 types are media-flexible or contested, so the family mostly repeats the format field; Audio sits empty |
| Option C — today's ten, kept | the current registry tree stays | the ten largely restate the content-role axis; your own review walk already called them "very off" |
| Option D — work domains (outside review) | five domains of work, campaigns and events excluded | 54 of 64 types fall in ONE bucket; zero land in Physical products & packaging — a lens wearing a family's clothes |
| The recommendation, with your carve | taken 16 August (provisional), your amendments applied — pieces store only their type; family = a registry shelf; the worlds = computed lenses; Advertising & Promotion dissolved; three types ruled off | open: Brand & Identity's depth (review DELIVERED, awaiting your marks) · Offer · the Retail & Commerce expansion · the naming picks (medium-neutral names, Manifesto/Anthem, Brand-vs-Campaign-Film) |
How the previews relate to the live reference: today's generated content-type page already shows a tree — the ten families live as parent pointers in the registry right now. So every option is a RE-POINTING of an existing mechanism, not new machinery; the recommendation just refuses to ALSO copy the family onto every piece.
Where each thing gets decided: the carve itself — reconciliation proposal 1 (mechanism taken 16 August, provisional; the shelf names are Joe's carve awaiting his final word) · performance ad — proposal 2 RULED 16 August (re-homed) · the empty social-native family — proposal 3 · the worlds delta — proposal 4 · families 9/10 — proposal 5 · ongoing piles like Customer Stories — proposal 6 · the work/rendition naming — proposal 7 · one type or several — proposal 8 · where digital-product content lives — proposal 9 · the Brand & Identity depth — its own review page · the Retail & Commerce expansion — the proposed table on the recommended preview.
