Hired for brand-platform and big-idea campaigns, artistic and inspirational advertising, and thought-leadership visuals — when a brand needs a photograph that argues an idea rather than shows a subject.

Tag when the photograph's real subject is a concept: surreal or impossible staging, deliberate visual metaphor (objects standing in for ideas), symbolic composition where decoding the meaning is the intended viewer experience. The literal contents of the frame are a vehicle, not the message.

Never tag it when…

Never tag stylized-but-literal frames — a beautifully art-directed portrait or product story without a symbolic argument goes to photography_editorial. Never tag artful object arrangements whose point is the composition itself (that goes to photography_still_life). Do not use this leaf as a catch-all for any 'artsy' photograph — the constructed idea must be checkable in-frame.
